Flower Care Instructions

All flowers need to be cared for, so here are some tips to help get the most enjoyment from your flowers, for longer:

• Take care when removing the wrapping on bouquets as there is often a resevoir for water to keep your bouquet fresh during delivery.
• Some of your flowers may still be in bud. This is because we want you to enjoy them for as long as possible.
• If your flowers have been arranged in floral foam, ensure that you top up with water daily, taking care not to overfill.
• If the flowers have been arranged in a bouquet, always re-cut the stems on an angle about 3cms from the end prior to placing them in a vase.
• Remove foliage that will sit below the waterline as they can contain bacteria and dis-colour the water.
• Change the water and re-cut the stems every second day for maximum longevity from your arrangement.
• Always place flowers in a cool location away from draughts, direct heat and sunlight.
• Use the flower food provided or a wee drop of bleach, this will help your flowers last longer.
• Lily pollen can stain, so carefully remove lily stamens from any newly opening blooms and avoid direct contact if re-arranging.
• Candles are for decoration only and are not a toy. To avoid the risk of fire, burn only under the supervision of an adult.
